Switzerland is my favourite country. Whichever of the Glacier Express tours you travel on, whatever the time of the year, the scenery is always just stunning.

All customers enjoy the trip to Zermatt, car free and surrounded by mountains. The Matterhorn is majestic standing on its own. My favourite excursion from Zermatt is up the Gornergrat mountain railway.

I never tire of The Glacier Express train, travelling in superb panoramic coaches through stunning scenery climbing up the Rhone Valley, over the Oberalp Pass at 2033m, then descending down the Rhine valley, through the Rhineschlucht Gorge with its unusual rock formations to Chur. I personally think the scenery from the Bernina Express is even better, from Chur over the Bernina Pass at 2253m, to the sleepy Italian style town of Poschiavo, travelling via the Albula Valley and over the famous Landwasser viaduct.
