Rail journey through Sweden and Norway venturing into the Arctic Circle

Bright sunshine at midnight is really quite extraordinary! It can be one of many highlights of this busy holiday which starts by exploring the beautiful Swedish capital. Narvik's moving war museum, the unusual Ringve museum in Trondheim full of musical instruments, awesome sheer-sided Geiranger Fjord, the steep and spectacular Flam/Myrdal railway, then Bergen with its fish quay all stand out as sources of inspiring memories.

As well enjoying as some spectacular rail journeys we cannot fail to be impressed by the skills of coach drivers who negotiate some of Europe's most testing routes to show us stunning scenery.
